The AirLift PTTD Brace is designed for the treatment of posterior tibial tendon dysfunction (PTTD), or for early signs and symptoms of the adult acquired flat foot. Depending on the severity of the condition, it can be prescribed for use as part of a conservative treatment to stabilize the condition and help prevent its degeneration, or post-surgically and during rehabilitation.
This flat foot brace provides foot support and ankle stabilization through the AirLift integrated aircell and semi-rigid shells. The aircell, located under the foot arch, is adjustable using the Hand Bulb (included with the brace). When inflated, the aircell can accommodate variances in arch shapes and heights and comfortably lifts the foot arch to achieve a more natural foot position. For ease-of-use, aircell inflation can be adjusted while wearing foot wear. The semi-rigid shells are anatomically designed to the shape of the ankle for secure support and stabilization. These shells help realign the ankle and support the patient.
The AirLift PTTD brace is designed for easy application and adjustment. The brace uses an innovative rear entry design which allows the patient to slip their foot into the back of the brace. Two straps secure the brace and can be used to adjust fit. These patient-friendly design elements make the AirLift flat foot brace easier to apply than custom braces, eliminate time consuming lacing, and help improve patient compliance.

Saved my arches and at least one of my ankles from PTTD destruction. I don't know if I purchased in time to save the other ankle. Will find out from Dr. in a few days. At size 8.5 I could have used the small or medium. The medium is a little big but easily solved by wearing an ace bandage around your foot/ankle. This also gives your swollen ankles some room. When the swelling goes down then I'll get the small. In the meantime these are great. Just pump them up!"

- My doctors office told me I could wear the aircast brace in a shoe, but it is much more comfortable wearing it by itself. Is this okay or should i be wearing a shoe over it?
- Hi Kelly,
When you are walking around the house a shoe is not necessary but when you leave the house you will need the added support of a shoe. I recommend using sneakers or Tennis shoes and redoing the laces while you are wearing the anjkle brace. it should be much more comfortable.

- Yes this can be worn during jogging. The aircell has been tested with 2,000 lbs of pressure and can with stand the pounding of a person running.
